Treatment With Oriental Medicine:

Oriental Medicine covers a range of treatment modalities, these can all be used together or as a stand-alone treatment. Tony may incorporate many of the techniques into his treatments.

What Does Treatment Involve?

Most sessions with Tony take about one hour, with much focus of the first visit being placed on diagnosis and formulation of a treatment strategy. This, and ensuing treatments will incorporate acupuncture, using super-fine disposable needles. Virtually all of Tony’s treatments, including the first consultation, begin with a root treatment., the purpose of which is to build any underlying weaknesses and strengthen the body’s ability to heal itself.

Treatment then involves rectifying causative factors and possibly treating the symptoms directly. The aim is almost always to treat the cause of the problem rather than just the symptoms. Symptoms are like traffic hazard signs on a highway and removing the signs will not remove the hazard. Invariably ill-health is a result of lifestyle, dietary and attitude factors which are more than likely to be discussed during the treatment. Recommendations are often made, but following them is always the choice of the client. Remember the old adage, “If you always do what you’ve always done, You will always get what you’ve always got”.

The number of treatments for any condition depends on many factors, such as: environmental and lifestyle factors; how long you have had the condition; and how willing are you to change. The longer you have had the condition, the longer it is likely to take to heal. Even chronic conditions usually show signs of improvement in 3 to 6 treatments. Acute conditions may be rectified much more quickly.
